Our Students at Eaglesnest Robotics are diligently undertaking the Eaglesnest Robotics Scope of Courses. We are in the development stage of creating a complete Robotics curriculum. Our goal is to provide our students with an education in Robotics providing a foundation in Robotics. Our curricula is always changing to meet the changes in the Robotics community as technology changes so that our students can excel in Robotics. We at Eaglesnest Robotics are committed to alligning our curricula with the three main purposes at Eaglesnest Robotics stated on our Who are we page.
Eaglesnest Robotics learning path:
In order to join our robotics classes, students must have some minimal knowledge of computers that allow them to focus on the challenges of robotics and adequately document the work they perform. In teaching our students, we base our teaching methods upon our motto. “ Exploring young minds through Science and Technology”, using the basic scientific method of observing and classifying and intertwining the ideas of Piaget's constructivism and Papert’s “constructionism”. Integrating both perspectives illuminates the processes by which students come to make sense of their experience in robotics, gradually optimizing their results and how their creations and origination can help the world.
We categorize our classes into three different tiers or levels Early Robotics, Intermediate Robotics,
Each level consists of a maximum of 7 students, in which working groups are organized from 1 to 3 students at a time. Classes are held outside school hours although in principle are scheduled 2 to 4 hours per week (depending on the level). The weeks before a competition or a major event multiply those hours as necessary.
Level I -Early Robotics
The pace of this small group work is very different from the rest, as it requires lot of dedication because the level of competition
The Eaglesnest Robotics Scope of courses is a work in progress and updates on what we will offer is posted here.
